Comparison table of AI interview assistants with prices and free trial limits

The best AI interview assistant is the one that hears your call reliably, gives short answers you can read at a glance, stays out of your screen share, runs on your computer and fits the hours you actually need. For Windows users in India, InterviewGPT, Chiku AI and Parakeet AI sell time in hours or credits. Final Round AI, LockedIn AI, Verve AI and Sensei AI sell monthly plans, and Interview Coder focuses on coding rounds.

This 2027 edition compares nine AI interview assistants on free access, real prices, billing model and fit, using each vendor's official pricing page checked on 5 October 2026. InterviewGPT publishes this guide, so we show our own limits as plainly as everyone else's, and you should run the same free test on any tool before you pay. If you're on Windows, you can start with InterviewGPT's free 10-minute sessions while you read.

Prices compared (checked 5 October 2026)

Prices below are what each official pricing page showed to a visitor in India. Where a vendor only shows US dollars, we list dollars. Promotions are marked, because two vendors were running 50% discounts on the day we checked. Check whether tax is included at checkout: Chiku AI adds 18% GST on top, and the others don't say on the plan cards.

What 5 hours of live help costs in one month

Headline prices don't compare well: one tool sells hours, another sells months. Most candidates in an active job search need a few hours of live interviews in a month, so here is the cheapest way to cover 5 hours with each tool, using the prices above.

ToolCheapest way to cover 5 hoursCostLeft over
Chiku AIPro pack (7 hours), promo price₹2,359 incl. GST2 hours, never expire
InterviewGPTPremium (6 credits = 6 hours)₹2,4991 hour, never expires
Verve AIStandard, monthly₹4,199.99None (5 sessions of 60 minutes)
LockedIn AIUnlimited, monthly, promo price₹4,880Unlimited for the month
Parakeet AI6-credit pack (8 credits with bonus)₹7,3803 hours
Final Round AIProFrom $25Unlimited live sessions
Sensei AIPro, month to month$89Unlimited for the month
Interview CoderMonthly Pro$2991,000 usage credits

Two things change this table quickly. Promotions end: at list prices, Chiku's 7-hour pack is ₹4,000 + GST and LockedIn's month is ₹9,760. And billing blocks add up: InterviewGPT bills in 30-minute blocks (0.5 credit), so a 20-minute call uses one block, while Chiku says it bills per minute. If your interviews are short, per-minute billing stretches further.

How we compared them

We read each tool's official pricing page on 5 October 2026 from India and recorded the free allowance, the cheapest paid option, the unlimited or top plan and the billing model. We did not rank answer quality with a score, because it depends heavily on your resume, the questions and the model a tool uses on the day. Run the same short test on each tool you shortlist, using the six checks below.

1. Audio reliability

Test with the exact meeting app, headset and computer you'll use. Ask a friend to interrupt, speak quietly and use an acronym. If the transcript misses words in a test call, it will miss them in the interview.

2. Answer scanability

Time how long it takes to find the main point in a suggestion. Short structure with two or three specific bullets works live; a polished essay is hard to use mid-sentence.

3. Follow-up handling

After a standard question, ask "What did you personally do?" or "What was the measurable result?". A good assistant keeps context and doesn't invent facts that aren't on your resume.

4. Personalisation

Load a sanitised resume and a job description. Check that answers use your real projects and skills, not generic examples.

5. Technical reasoning

For coding or system design, check requirements, a brute-force and an optimised approach, complexity, edge cases and what happens when the interviewer changes a constraint. Our guide to the AI assistant for system design and coding interviews has a full test script.

6. Screen-share behaviour

Share your entire screen to a second device and check whether the assistant's window appears. Then record the meeting and play it back.

Free AI interview assistants: what you actually get

"Free" means different things on each pricing page. Compare what you can test, not the label.

ToolFree allowanceGood for testing
InterviewGPT10-minute live sessions, up to 3 a day, 15-minute cooldown; the Invisible Browser is free foreverAudio, transcription speed, answer style, screen-share behaviour
Verve AI3 live sessions of 15 minutes, 5 mock interviewsA full mock round plus a short live test
Sensei AI15-minute live sessionsAnswer style and setup
Parakeet AIOne 10-minute session; first mock freeA single setup check
CluelyLimited AI responses and notesGeneral meeting assistance, not hidden from screen share
Interview CoderApp download; AI features need a subscriptionInstallation only
Final Round AIPrep tools; no free live sessionsResume and preparation materials

Prepare one five-question script, one resume and one headset, and use them for every free test. Note transcription errors, time to a useful answer, invented details and what happens when the free time runs out.

Compare pricing models by expected use

Credits, hour packs, weekly passes, monthly subscriptions and lifetime licences can't be compared by sticker price. Work out what you'll really use:

needed hours = interview hours + practice and setup + billing-block waste + a spare hour

effective cost per hour = final checkout price ÷ hours you expect to use

ModelWorks best whenWatch for
Hour credits or packs (InterviewGPT, Chiku AI, Parakeet AI)You have a handful of interviews spread over weeks or monthsBilling blocks, expiry (these three say credits don't expire), tax at checkout
Monthly subscription (Final Round, LockedIn, Verve, Sensei, Cluely)You have many interviews packed into one monthAuto-renewal, the gap between monthly and annual prices, session length caps
Weekly or unlimited pass (InterviewGPT, Parakeet AI)A final-round week with several callsThe pass end date; unused days don't carry over
Lifetime (Interview Coder, LockedIn)You expect to interview for yearsHigh upfront cost and refund terms

Before paying, read the refund policy. InterviewGPT refunds a purchase in full within 7 days if no credits from it were used; other vendors' terms vary, and some plans are non-refundable, so check before you pay.

Screen sharing and "undetectable" claims

Almost every vendor now says its window is hidden from screen share. What matters is how it is hidden and what you share. On Windows 10 version 2004 and later, an app can ask Windows to exclude its window from capture, and Microsoft's documentation says such a window "is displayed only on a monitor. Everywhere else, the window does not appear at all." InterviewGPT uses this for its assistant and its free Invisible Browser, so full-screen shares, recordings and screenshots receive the desktop behind it on supported setups.

Pricing tells you something too. Cluely sells hiding from screen-sharing software only in its $149.99/month tier, and Verve and Interview Coder describe stealth features on their plan cards. No setting hides your eyes, your voice or a second device, so test privately and follow the rules of each interview. Our guide on whether interviewers can see an AI assistant on screen share explains each sharing mode.

Where InterviewGPT fits, and where it doesn't

InterviewGPT, the invisible AI interview assistant for Windows, transcribes both sides of the call, suggests answers from your resume and role, reads coding problems and diagrams from your screen, and pairs with your phone as a second view. Credits never expire, the Invisible Browser is free forever, and the same account includes a free ATS resume checker, an AI resume builder and AI headshots.

It isn't the right pick for everyone. It runs on Windows only, so Mac users should look at Final Round AI or another tool with a macOS app. And on current promotions, Chiku AI is cheaper per hour for a 5-hour month. If you need dozens of hours in one month, an unlimited monthly plan from InterviewGPT (₹4,999), LockedIn AI or Parakeet AI may work out cheaper than credits.

Quick answers

What is the best AI interview assistant in 2027?

There isn't one best tool for everyone. Windows users in India who want credits that don't expire should test InterviewGPT and Chiku AI. Mac users should test Final Round AI. Heavy users with many calls in one month should compare unlimited plans from LockedIn AI, Parakeet AI and InterviewGPT.

Is there a free AI interview assistant?

Several have free allowances: InterviewGPT (10-minute sessions, up to 3 a day), Verve AI (3 × 15 minutes), Sensei AI (15-minute sessions) and Parakeet AI (one 10-minute session). None of them offers unlimited free live help, which costs real money to run.

Are AI interview assistants allowed?

It depends on the company and the interview. Some employers allow AI tools for preparation only; others ban them during interviews and assessments. Use them where AI help is permitted, and respect any instruction you're given.

Which AI interview assistant works for coding and system design?

InterviewGPT, Final Round AI, LockedIn AI, Verve AI and Interview Coder all advertise coding support. Test them on a problem with changing constraints and judge the reasoning, not just the final code.

Ready to test one? Download InterviewGPT for Windows, run the six checks above in a free 10-minute session, and compare it with any other tool on this list before you pay.
